趁著晴天, 來個浴佛之行, 佛誕了, 讓我們也出席佛陀的生日會吧. 佛陀的身旁, 天女正在向佛陀獻上蓮花及珠寶.

A sunny and warm morning as we came here for Buddha-bathing. This weekend is Buddha's birthday so this is why we are here~ for Buddha's birthday party. Celestial beauties were offering jewels and lotus flower to Buddha for his birthday :D




花老B 也浴佛!!! 浴佛後是否看來更"醒目" 呢?!?!?

從蓮坪路前往秘密基地, 已荒廢了多年的寺院 "聯善堂".

We were going to our "Martian secret base" from Lin Ping Drive, an abandoned old temple, which is called "Luen Sin Tong".






聯善堂雖荒廢了多年, 但看來仍不錯, 大家在此吃點心及賞野花....

This old temple still in a good condition, we had some veg. snacks and had a look @ those beautiful wild flowers in the garden. A perfect place as a Martian base. Hahahah!!!!




聯善堂亦有另一荒廢寺院, 讓我們爬牆去探險.

There is another old temple next to Luen Sin Tong. Let's climb over a broken wall and have a look.
(The broken wall just a few inches tall... Hahahaha.)






原來這裡叫 "心光淨院"!! 很美麗的黃色小寺院, 花園有很多花.

Oh, this pretty little yellow temple is called "Sum Kwong Ching Yuen" (Light of the heart), with many beautiful flowers in the little garden in front of it.






很多野牛在吃草, 牠還給花老B 送上一吻.

Many stray cows were having lunch here!!! One of them came to Tachibana san and gave him a big kiss!!!!

長洲太平清醮


今天到了長洲後, 第一時間去麥當奴看看有沒有素漢堡包, 因為太平清醮期間, 即使長洲的麥當奴也供應素食!! 不過, 原來星期四才開始供應, 失望!

When we arrived Cheung Chau this morning, we rushed to McDonald's to see whether we could get veggie burgers or not. During the week for Bun Carnival, veggie burgers are available from McDonald's in Cheung Chau. But veg. burgers are available from Thursday to Saturday, so we couldn't get any.... a pity!!

Poor Horse-shoe crab was placed on the ground for display... others in the tub are awaiting for death.... really don't understand why people want to eat them....!

期待已久的出爐平安包, 終於出現!!!! 大家在店外守候已久, 終於有平安包出來了!! 不過, 先待大姐替包包蓋上"平安" 印, 然後即咬一口大包.... 內有蓮蓉, 熱熱的大包, 非常美味!! (另有麻蓉, 豆沙....)

We had been waiting for a few minutes and..... many people also queued up near the bakery... What are we waiting for??? OH!!! They are coming, they are coming!!! Hot steamed "Ping On" buns just coming out from the jumbo steamer!!! Let's wait for the staff to stamp the words "Ping On" (= peaceful) on the buns first! Then a big bite.... hot lotus seed paste inside, COOOL!! (others with sesame paste and red bean paste)






街坊會內亦有小型平安包火箭, 供大家拍照.

There are small "Ping On Bun" rockets near the residents' committee office too.






到了東灣海邊, 即去東堤小築一探.... 它是長洲有名的渡假村, 亦以自殺事件特別多而聞名.

We reached Tung Wan beach and then had a walk @ the most well-known haunted resort village, Bela Vista Villa!!! Many suicide cases took place here and most of the victims killed themselves by burning charcoal. This is why once the resort village management office refused to rent a room for couples and single travellers.

一探東堤小築~ 經過翻新後的渡假村, 景色不錯, 可不覺得有任何恐怖之處.

Now we were @ the "haunted village"~ after maintenance work, the resort houses look much better than before, we couldn't feel any negative energy here.
