Long Time No See, Northeast New Territories!!!! A nice day today, so we had a long walk this time in Sha Tau Kok District. We took a minibus no. 20R from Tai Po Minibus terminus (near the railway station) and stopped @ Wu Kau Tang minibus terminus. Then we turned to the way for Lai Chi Wo, and we walked via the forest track which is at the back of a little green house (Also for Wu Kau Tang Country Trail).

Now we were @ A Ma Wat, after walking for quite a long way (about 2 km).

Now we were @ the hilltop of A Ma Wat, where we could admire the famous beautiful scenic spot here.... Double Haven (Yan Chau Tong), a marine park with the most beautiful seaview of Northeast New Territories.

We went downstairs and now we were @ Fan Shui Au. There is a monument here, which is to memorise and thanks those kind donars for giving money to build staircases for the villagers living near this place in the old past. You can continue your walk either to Lai Chi Wo or to Kuk Po from this part. We turned right for Lai Chi Wo.

The forest track for Lai Chi Wo is bumpy and long, really not a hiker-friendly one!!! There is a river on the trail, we walked on the big rock for crossing and then continued to walk for another 15 minutes for Lai Chi Wo Village.

After fighting with mountains and rivers, finally we had reached Lai Chi Wo village... :D

Had a walk in Lai Chi Wo Village, a typical Hakka walled village.

Two temples of Lai Chi Wo.

An abandoned old village school, now a restaurant. There are seats under the trees outside the school, hikers can have lunch there. Don't forget to buy some very delicious rice cakes (with peanuts and sesame inside!!) before leaving!!!!

White flower derris in Lai Chi Wo Nature Trail, ONLY can be found in this place.

Kap Tong, an abandoned old village, I always want to have a look for this place. But as time was running short, we did not go for this place today.
(From the name "Kap Tong" [meaning: toads pond], there should be many toads here???!!)

A large piece of mangrove here!!!

Lunch break @ Lai Chi Wo Viewing Point. Although we only had a few pieces of bread and rice cakes as lunch, our eyes were 100% fed with these incredibly beautiful scenes!!!!!!

Finally we walked back to the village and now @ the pier-side of Lai Chi Wo. We really enjoyed the beautiful seaview of Double Haven here.

Now we were @ Lai Chi Wo Special Area, where we had a look @ the famous "Hollow Tree", a large camphor tree with a big hole.

There is a footpath near the hollow trees which leads us back to the entrance of Lai Chi Wo Village. We walked back to Wu Kau Tang from the same route we came this morning.

Back to Wu Kau Tang and this time we went for the way to Kau Tam Tso. We walked downstairs for Bride's Pool BBQ site which is nearby.

From Bride's Pool BBQ site, we walked upstairs to the bus terminus (KMB no. 275R) and we took a bus back to the railway station.
