Temple Visit @ Tung Tsz, Tai Po

今日天色不錯, 決定一訪從未去過的洞梓. 從大埔火車站乘 20B 小巴, 於普門路慈山寺的路口下車.
The weather was great today and we went for a visit to a place we have never visited before -- Tung Tsz!!! Started from Tai Po minibus terminus, we took minibus no.20B and got off @ Tsz Hing Temple, which is near Universal Gate Road along Tung Tsz Road.










慈山寺位於普門路 (出自妙法蓮華經的普門品) 的盡頭, 內有著名的巨型觀音像. 不過由於寺院仍未向外開放, 我們只能在門外一看觀音菩薩的頭.
Tsz Shan Temple is at the end of Universal Gate Road (the name is from the "Universal Gate Chapter" of Lotus Sutra), it is famous for the huge Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva statue inside the temple. It is claimed to be the 2nd largest Bodhisattva statue on Earth. But as the maintenance work still in progress, the temple is still NOT open for public. We only stayed outside to have a look at the head of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.




返回洞梓路, 去一探船灣三聖宮. 路上看到有豬頭形的古窰, 還有一對巨龍.
Back to Tung Tsz Road and we went for the Shuen Wan Temples (3 Saints' Temples). There is an ancient kiln on the road which looks like a big wild boar... also with dragon couple outside the temple.


深山內看觀音像!!!!
We could also admire Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva here!!!!

Then go uphill from Tung Tsz Village.




山上有座小小的洞梓觀音廟.
There is a little Guan-yin temple @ the hillside. (Temple for Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva)
