以海路去荔枝窩, 沿途可一看著名的印洲塘, 風景之美, 令人驚嘆香港有如此美麗的地貌.
Usually we go to Lai Chi Wo via hiking trails.
But this time we go there by ferry. Why?
Now, let's start admiring the most beautiful part of HK -- Double Haven Geopark!!!
沿赤門海峽, 先一看船灣淡水湖的副壩.
The first scene is the Secondary Dam of Plover Cove Reservoir, while sailing across Tolo Channel.
之後, 是老虎笏的荒廢珍珠場.
想不到香港也曾經出產珍珠吧?
Then we can see the deserted pearl farm of Lo Fu Wat.
You can't imagine pearls could be found in HK!!!
黃竹角咀, 盛產怪石 -- 鬼手岩!!!
Here we are @ Wong Chuk Kok Tsui, a place full of devil's hands (rock)!!!
黃竹角咀的鬼手型岩石, 不過最著名的鬼手岩, 因為被大量參觀人士包圍著拍照, 看不到了.
There are lots of "Devil's hand" rocks @ Wong Chuk Kok Tsui, with the biggest one called "Devil's Fist", which is surrounded by lots of visitors this morning, a pity we couldn't see it today.
印洲塘地質公園, 無法由山路前往, 亦因為要保護地貌, 沒有碼頭可供上岸, 只能在船上遠望.
Double Haven Geopark - with red rocks along the coast, as they are outlying islands, you cannot access this place on foot. In order to protect the special landforms, NO piers can be found in this place. The only way is to take a ferry and gaze them from far away.... hahaha!!
隊長首次參觀印洲塘地質公園, 對此地非常鍾愛.
It is the first time for Captain to visit Double Haven Geopark, he is very happy to see the beautiful scenes here.
然後, 看印塘六寶 -- 這是玉壐 (印洲)
Now, let's have a look at some of the "6 Treasures of Double Haven".
This one is the "Emperor's Seal", Yan Chau.

This one is the Brush Rest Island (Pak Ka Chau).
Really looks like a jumbo brush rest!!
上岸 @ 荔枝窩.
Now we landed @ Lai Chi Wo Pier.

一到假日, 荔枝窩比旺角更熱鬧.
有很多客家小食, 今天吃了蕃薯糕.
During Sundays and public holidays, Lai Chi Wo is more crowded than a shopping mall.
Lots of Hakka dim-sum available here, we tried some sweet potato cakes (purple), nice!!

到訪荔枝窩多次, 都沒法抽空去蛤塘及梅子林, 今天有足夠時間, 一於去看一下.
We have visited Lai Chi Wo several times but we didn't have enough time for these villages, this time we are going to have a walk here!!!

Now moving to another village.
很快到了梅子林村, 此地已無人居住近半世紀!!
Mui Tsz Lam Village is not far away, we were here to have a look.
The residents moved out of this village half a century ago.

今次幸運地遇上村長, 原來此地正進行復建, 將來再來此地, 不會這麼荒蕪.
其實香港是有需要有自己的農產品.
Very lucky we met the Village Head this afternoon and he invited us to go into some of the village houses.
Villagers are going to reconstruct this place and it is a good news for hikers.
And we also need to have our own agricultural products.

回碼頭之前, 帶著隊長到村內的 cafe 吃手工雪條.
雪條以村內種植的洛神花及菊花乾手製, 味道不錯.
We brought Captain to a cafe in the village for some snacks before leaving Lai Chi Wo.
Captain is very interested in this hand-made ice pop.
It is made from hibiscus and dried daisies grown in this village.
It looks like a soap..... The taste is nice.

回到碼頭, 渡輪已在, 快快上船.
Now we are back to the pier, 15:00, the ferry is here already.
