今天是我們初次到西貢!!! 原來我們從沒來過這裡!! 先乘地鐵到鑽石山站, 在C2 出口起步, 外面便是小巴及巴士總站. 要到西貢碼頭, 乘搭九巴 92號, 在總站下車.

Today is our first time for Sai Kung!!! (We go hiking every week but NEVER been to Sai Kung!!!) Take an MTR and get off @ Exit C2 of Diamond Hill MTR station, then you can see minibus and bus terminus outside. Take KMB bus no.92 for Sai Kung Pier, which is also the destination.
西貢巴士總站旁便是 "西貢地質文化資訊中心", 西貢新公眾碼頭亦在附近.

Now we were in front of Sai Kung Geo-heritage Information Centre, which is near the bus terminus. The Sai Kung New Public Pier is also nearby.
西貢新公眾碼頭旁, 有很多開著太陽傘的小攤子. 原來這些小攤子都是提供街渡服務的. 大家可以先去看一看, 那一個的價格比較適合 (有一些亦提供導賞服務). 西貢有不少離島, 所以可選擇不同的行程及地點. 今天光顧了"貓記", 來回橋咀島只需HK$20, 而且船已經泊在碼頭, 可立即出發!!!

There are lots of kiosks with umbrellas along the Sai Kung New public Pier, these are NOT for snacks, but for boat / ferry services to different outlying islands!! You can go to any outlying islands nearby to enjoy a short trip even you don't have a hiking plan!! Just go to any kiosk and ask for the price and service provided (some with tour-guiding service also), then you can enjoy your day..... We chose "Kitty's Boat" for Sharp Island, just HK$20 for a round trip!!! The little ferry was just @ the harbour and ready for the ride any time!!
看到橋頭那邊..... 到了, 終於到達橋咀碼頭.

Now we could see the "Bridge Head", that is the part which is called "Kiu Tau" of Sharp Island (Sharp Island is called "Kiu Tsui" in Cantonese, Kiu Tau is linked to the main Sharp Island, a tombolo), finally we had arrived the pier of Sharp Island.

橋咀地質公園在此!! 其實是連島沙堤, 水退後可經沙堤步向對面的小島, 不過現在水位仍然高, 沙堤仍在水中, 旁有本月的潮汐漲退表, 今天大水退會在13:42, 現在是11:00, 遲一點再來應該可以走到對岸了.

Here's the starting point for Kiu Tsui Geopark (part of Kiu Tsui Country Park also)!! Actually it is a tombolo, linking up the main island (Sharp Island, or Kiu Tsui Island) to the part we call "Kiu Tau" (Bridge Head). The path is under the water during high tide, and we can walk to the opposite side during low tide when the path has come out. Now the path was still in the water, there is a notice board for the tidal prediction of the current month nearby. The low tide was around 13:42 for today (2 June), now just 11:00, so we had to come again later.
沿橋咀灣海邊走, 赫然發現原來此地昔日曾是操炮區, 如果發現有奇怪的炸彈型物品, 不要拿來玩, 可能會爆炸呢.

Walking along Kiu Tsui Bay.... Oh,.... this place used to be part of the firing range in the past. If you see something look like bombs, DON'T touch, stay away from it, it might explode.
再前走, 看見美麗的海灣, 水極清澈, 原來此地是 "海星灣" (但不見有海星, 海膽倒是有的...). 海星灣後面有一極隱閉的小村落, 本來想沿海邊過去看看, 但有很多狗在海邊, 而且都在吠叫, 所以還是沒有去.

We kept on moving and the sea becoming more and more beautiful, the water was so clear!!! Oh, this place is called "Hoi Sing Wan" (= Starfish bay), but we could not see any starfish here today, but found lots of little sea urchins! There is a little village along Starfish Bay, we wanted to have a look, but as we were walking along the seacoast, lots of dogs gathered @ the seaside and barked. So we just went back to Kiu Tsui Beach.
回到橋咀海灘, 在灘後找到昔日北海漁村的渡假屋!! 其他的設施早已在樹林中. (北海漁村曾是有名的渡假樂園, 但在1990年已倒閉!!)

Back to Kiu Tsui Beach and we finally found the lost paradise~ North Sea Fish Village!! But just found the resort house at the back of the beach.... for the other facilities, all being "swallowed" by the bushes. (North Sea Fish Village was a famous resort village in the early 80s, with lots of facilities such as BBQ sites, mini 4WD, speedboats... etc, but already closed in 1990)

終於潮退 (12:45pm), 可以經沙堤走到橋頭那邊了. 沿路海邊美景不絕, 目不暇給.

Finally low tide!! (12:45pm) We could see the path linking to the opposite side, just start our walk now!!!
到了橋咀地質公園了, 這裡有很多菠蘿包石, 來一口吧! :D

Here we are @ Kiu Tsui Geopark!!! There are lots of "pineapple bun" rocks here, just pick up one as lunch, they are FREE! :D

We walked downhill from the other side of the country trail, and now we were at the back of this little island.
離開了地質公園, 向半月灣方向走, 不過因為時間不足(1小時才有一次街渡, 而且只有十多人可上船....), 所以沒有深入探索.....

We left the Geopark and then walked to the way for Half Moon Bay. But as time is very limited (the boat comes once per hour, and just can carry 12-15 people each time), we could not have a "round-the-island" walk.
返回橋咀泳灘, 看到有隊伍來作龍舟練習, 亦有超可愛小狗在學習游泳!!

Back to Kiu Tsui Beach, we could see people rowing a boat here!! Yes, Dragon Ｂoat Festival is coming, they were busy with the practice!! And at the other side of the water, a super lovely dog was having a swimming lesson, see how brave it is!
到了碼頭, 乘街渡回西貢.

Now @ the pier for a boat, time to be back for Sai Kung. Good Bye, Sharp Island!!
回到西貢, 在舊墟逛了一會, 再乘小巴到彩虹地鐵站, 快樂的 "週末小島銷遙遊" 正式完結, 大家懷著依依不捨的心情, 期待著下回的小島渡假.

Back to Sai Kung, and we had a walk @ the old market. Then we took a minibus for Choi Hung MTR station. Here came the end of our "Weekend Sunshine Resort @ Sharp Island"!! What a Perfect day!!! We all looking forward to having another trip @ an outlying island later, more and more!!!!
