(Shatin Railway Station→Grand Central Plaza [IKEA]→Shatin Rural Committee Road→Downstairs for Sheung Wo Che Village [Upper Wo Che Village] →Go straight along the road for the road sign of Ha Wo Che Village [Lower Wo Che Village]→Lung Wah Hotel→Lower Wo Che Village→Back to New Town Plaza @ Shatin Railway station)

近來天氣非常炎熱, 在山上暴曬可真要命, 惟有轉移陣地, 來個香港懷舊熱點行. 中秋節之前, 可能都難以享受郊遊樂了. 今天由沙田火車站出發, 經過沙田中央廣場旁的沙田鄉事會路下去地面的上禾輋村 (不是屋邨那邊!!), 去一個昔日的沙田熱點 -- 龍華酒店!!!
It has been very hot these weeks and quite a hard time to spend a day bathing under the sun now. Now we have got a new plan -- spend the next couple of months to visit the heritage (or scenic spots) spots in HK before it is getting a bit cooler.
Started from Shatin Railway station, first we walked to Grand Central Plaza and then we kept on walking along Shatin Rural Committee Road. Then we went downstairs for Sheung Wo Che Village (Don't mix up with Wo Che Estate at the opposite side of the road).




到了上禾輋村, 沿指示牌往龍華酒店
Now we were @ Sheung Wo Che Village, just follow the direction signage for Lung Wah Hotel.




不要上天橋, 繼續前走直至看見下禾輋村的路牌.
Don't go upstairs for the flyover, just keep on walking until you can see the signage for Ha Wo Che Village.






到了龍華酒店的入口.
Now @ the entrance of Lung Wah Hotel.






龍華酒店昔日十分有名, 很多名人都會來此用膳. 這條長長的走廊掛滿燈籠, 是昔日的景點之一.
Lung Wah Hotel is one of the HOT scenic spots in HK, with lots of celebrities coming here for meals during the 80-90s. This long corridor, which is full of traditional red lanterns, used to be very popular in the past.






















龍華酒店內另一景點 --- 種滿花的庭園

Very old Barber's shop (Shanghai style)






走到位於火車軌道旁的下禾輋村, 這裡有一棵樹, 上面長滿形狀古怪的木瓜.
Now we were @ Ha Wo Che Village, which is next to the railway. There is a papaya tree with papayas in different funny shapes.


返回村口.
Now back to Sheung Wo Che Village.

今天來到黃金泳灘巴士站附近, 一座公平貿易小店. (原來星期日是休息的!!!!)
We came to a special shop near the bus-stop of Golden Beach this morning --- Fair Trade Shop from Crossroads Foundation!!! (It is NOT open on Sundays!!!)


我們走到貧民窟的方向.
Now we were moving to the way for the slum.




貧民窟內的住宅區 -- 很寧靜, 亦非常整潔!!
Residential buildings inside the slum --- This place is clean and quiet.






樹下是鄉村學校.
A village school under the trees.


有一口并.
A well in the village.


這裡由國際十字路會創辦.
This place is run by Crossroads Foundation.








到了黃金海岸.
Now @ HK Gold Coast.






走到黃金泳灘.
We went down to Golden Beach.




咖啡灣賞海景.
Sightseeing @ Cafeteria Beach.




海灘遊之後, 開始今日的屯門景點遊. 先走到青山公路松苑旁, 昔日這裡有一座志樂別墅, 因為丟空已久而惹來鬧鬼傳聞. 不過今天來到原址, 原來志樂別墅已成了住宅大廈!!! 鬧鬼傳聞早就隨大廈落成而消失.
After a walk @ the seaside, we now started our "Tuen Mun Heritage Walk" along Castle Peak Road -- the first spot is "Chee Lok Mansion"!!! Chee Lok Mansion used to be a well-known haunted house in the past, as it was left unattended for years, the whole place was covered by trees and became very dark. It had attracted lots of "ghost-busters" to go for ghost-search. But now this "haunted" place has become residential buildings and no horror stories any more.








接著前往另一個昔日景點 --- 容龍別墅. 據說容龍別墅早年十分有名, 環境優美. 不過現在則已改建為住宅容龍居, 旁邊則是容龍酒家.
Now we were moving to another old scenic spot --- Dragon Inn. It used to be a very famous sightseeing spot in the old days, with a big garden surrounded by beautiful nature scenes. Now Dragon Inn has been turned to a residential area -- Dragon Inn Court, with a restaurant next to it.


最後走到三聖邨對面的青山媽祖廟 (不是三聖廟!!!)
Finally we reached Castle Peak Ma Tso (Ma Tso = Deity Tin Hau, Goddess of the sea) Temple, which is at the opposite side of Sam Shing Estate.




再沿著青山公路 (麒麟崗公園旁) 走上山坡, 這片小山丘叫 "麒麟崗", 三聖廟就在山上. 山上亦有1960年建立的青山墟公所, 非常有舊日的鄉村風味.
The last spot --- We kept on walking along Castle Peak Road and finally we were @ Kei Lun Hill park.
(or you can call it Qilin hill -- Qilin / Kirin is a Chinese mythical animal appeared like a dragon with 4 legs, and sometimes it is also called "Chinese unicorn")
We walked upstairs via a footpath next to Qilin Hill park, then we were up @ Qilin Hill!! You can find the old Castle Peak Market municipal office @ the hillside, which is built in 1960. Sam Shing (3 Saints) Temple is just next to it!!
