Finally it is the CNY Eve. Grab the last chance to have a countryside walk before the coming of CNY.
We took a bus and got off @ Good Hope School this morning and started our walk from there.
Now we started our walk from Jat's Incline (You can get minibus no.16A from Exit A2 of Choi Hung MTR Station!)
Jat's Incline was constructed by Indian army (From North-west India) in 1907 for military use.
The name "Jat" is believed to be derived from Aryans.
Let's start the Aryan's military walk from here!!!
Temples (NOT Hindu ones!!!) along Jat's Incline, also with Deity of Stone.
Dried streams on the road.
Six-word enlightening mantra is written at the back of the road signs!!! (In Tibetan) .....
But Aryans used Ancient Sanskrit!!!! Can they read this??? Hahaha!!
Om Ma-ni Pad-me Hum!!!
We can see Lion Rock now.
We found the geometrical pole, and we could have a look @ Wong Tai Sin District from here.
We got something from the woods..... woooooops, red pockets are attached to the banyan trees (for worshipping).
The top of Kowloon Peak.
Finally we had reached the hilltop pavilion.
After a little bit of rest, we moved to Shatin Pass Road and then walked to Lion Pavilion.
Keep on walking to Shap Yi Wat.
This is the way for Shatin Pass BBQ site (NOT for Wilson Trail!!!), it ends @ Sha Tin Wai, NOT Amah Rock.
Don't get the wrong trail!! (We made a fatal mistake here!!! We were on the wrong trail!!!)
The way for the BBQ site is very hiker-friendly, with nice scenes along the road.
We could see Shatin.
You can have a shower here!!!
While we were walking along the path, a huge snake suddenly crawled out from a hole and then swallowed a frog in front of us.
The snake was just near our feet, we were all very shocked!!!!!
(The hole is @ the middle part of the photo, with just part of the snake can be captured by the camera.)
Finished the walk, now we were @ the exit of Ma On Shan Country Park, @ Shui Chuen O.
As we had been to the wrong trail, we started our walk again from Sha Tin Wai, to Lion Rock Country Park, @ Hung Mui Kuk Road.
It was already dark when we were walking up to Amah Rock, so we stopped @ the river-side and had a rest here.....

We arrived McDonald's Restaurant @ Chan Man Street of Sai Kung early this morning. Then we took a village bus no. 29R here which is for Sai Wan Village (the backyard of HK!!!).
After a 25-minute's bus ride, we got off @ Sai Wan Pavilion and then we walked downstairs to Sai Wan Village in 35 minutes. Please note that there is a road blockage @ Sai Wan Village from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays), it is only open to public on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
We could see High Island Reservoir when we were going down to Sai Wan Village.
A pavilion at the village path -- Here is Chui Tung Au, wind comes from everywhere and it is the most windy part. You can go downstairs to continue your way for Sai Wan Village, or going to another hiking trail which is for Long Ke beach (with a drug rehabilitation services centre setup by missionary) and High Island Reservoir.
Now we were @ the entrance of Sai Wan Village, also the road blockage part.
Now we were @ Sai Wan Village -- old village houses now becoming food stalls.
A surf house in the village -- it is a HOT spot for surfing in summer!!!
Seaside cafe of Tai Long Sai Wan. Close your eyes and enjoy the summer breeze even not in summer!!
Amazing beach @ Tai Long Sai Wan.
The summit of Sharp Peak -- the most challenging trail, the top of Sharp Peak is very steep and gravelly, full of sand and gravels. The Chinese name "Nam Shea" means lizard, do you think the top of Sharp Peak looks like a lizard head (or tail, depends on which part you love)?
Wave-gazing @ the beach.
A rocky short-cut for Ham Tin -- A bit of climbing is necessary, suitable for those who love climbing.
(http://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-hant/%E9%AD%AF%E9%80%A3%E5%9F%8E)
This part belongs to the rich guy Mr. Simon Lo Lin Shing, with a man-made pond next to the cottage. (he is forced to stop destroying the nature of Tai Long Sai Wan by environmental protection groups and HKSAR government).

Beautiful scenes @ Tai Long Sai Wan.
Go to Ham Tin from here!! (But not today)
Wonderful seaview @ Tai Long Sai Wan!!
We walked through some woods on the way back to Sai Wan Pavilion.
A number of cows are living here.
Became misty and the temperature started falling when we were leaving.
