今早在中環交易廣場乘 260特快巴士, 在赤柱市集下車後, 即上去赤柱市政大廈內的空中花園享受陽光.

We took a bus no.260 (Express, the shortest route) and stopped @ Stanley Market.
Then rushed to the Roof-top garden @ Stanley Municipal Building for a sunbath.

The veggie burger looked happy with a colourful "Hat" on it.

在卜公碼頭內看船. 這裡有船往蒲台島.

@ Blake Pier, there's ferry service for Po Toi Island, an outlying island famous for rock-climbing.





















































經過改建後的馬坑公園, 現在變成另一個景點. 內有北帝廟及千年古井, 可以去淘一淘.

New Ma Hang Park after renovation, now turned to another scenic spot. There are Pak Tai Temple and an ancient well inside.
Go and have a look!



















在路上有 "北帝廟" 指示牌(綠色), 旁有樓梯上山. 先上山至山頂的觀景台, 再步上環角道. 環角道的公園入口旁邊, 便是赤柱望海觀音的入口.

There's a green sign @ the middle part of the trail showing the way for Pak Tai Temple.
And there are staircases next to it. Walk upstairs for Hilltop Plaza first. Then further uphill for Cape Road.
What's up?? There's a Guan-yin Temple next to the other entrance of Ma Hang Park @ Cape Road.
And the best of all is, a BIG Guan-yin statue is inside, guarding the sea.
Go and have a look!!

在觀音寺內參觀時, 突然下大雨!!! 只好先在普陀山下避雨, 然後再躲到觀音娘娘的背後.

It suddenly rained heavily when we were walking around the monastery.
We just hid under "Po Tor Mountain", and then hid at the back of Boddhisattva.

























雨停後返回赤柱大街, 有一隻巨型貴婦犬, 非常可愛!

Back to Stanley Main Street when the rain stopped. There was a lovely Giant Poodle there.!!!
















回程時, 乘973 來個長途巴士遊. 要1.5小時才到達尖沙咀.

Back to Kowloon by bus no.973~ Super long ride!! It took us 1.5 hrs to be back for Tsim Sha Tsui.

社山神木，距離林村也不過是15-20分鐘步程。社山神木位置在社山村東風水林內，本身是一株高逾20米，直徑幾達5米的巨形樟樹，暫時是香港已發現最大棵的樹木，據村內老嫗所講，神木有千年歷史，具靈性，保護社山村。樟樹底部有個樹窿，可同時讓三人盤膝而坐。


交通：在元朗或大埔乘64k巴士在社山村站下車，見社山村新路牌直入，見三塊堂轉左，過社山村兒童遊樂場側的香蕉林即見。
Giant Camphor tree @ She Shan village~
It's located @ the Feng Shui Forest, a height of 20 metres, with a diameter 5 metres.

It's the BIGGEST tree in HK.

This giant camphor tree is now over 1000 years old, and is believed to have the power of protecting the villagers of She Shan Village.
Location: NO detailed info. found, but it's near the playground of She Shan village.

今天是一個人在途上之旅. 先在大埔墟火車站起步, 至大埔墟巴士總站乘坐 64K 巴士, 於"新村"站下車(鍾屋村之後的一個車站). 下車後向反方向步行, 便會找到"社山路".
步至社山路的盡頭, 在休憩處對面, 即路牌的背後進入.

Today I went to see the Giant Camphor tree by myself. First after I arrived Taipo Market Railway station, I took a KMB bus no.64K @ the bus terminus nearby.
Then I got off @ "Sun Tsuen" bus stop (the next stop after "Chung Uk Tsuen"~ or Chung Uk Village bus-stop).
Then walked back to the direction for Lam Chuen Wishing Tree, just within one min, I found She Shan Road.
Walk along She Shan Road until the end of the road and there's a rest area.
Opposite to the rest area, at the back of the road sign, it's the start point for the Giant Camphor tree.



































入村後會見一指示牌寫著"往大樟樹的路已封閉"!!! 不用擔心!! 地上有指示, 可從另一條小路前往大樟樹.
由村屋旁上行, 可到達"社山村兒童遊樂場", 大樟樹就在旁邊

Walking inside She Shan village, I saw a sign "The Boardwalk Ahead is Closed"!! No worries, there's still a sign on the ground!!
Just follow this "Camphor Tree" sign on the ground and walked through another road next to a village house,
then you'll reach "She Shan Tsuen Children's Playground". The Giant Camphor Tree is just next to it.



































有小木橋可通往大樟樹!! 不過由於此樹已有千年歷史, 現已在保育範圍內, 所以大家只可遠觀, 不能近看了.
大樟樹旁全是蕉樹, 有一棵巨大的香蕉掛在樹上, 引來不少皇蜂來此!!! 我險些給其中一只黑色大皇蜂刺到!!
幸好閃避及時!!

There's a wooden bridge for the tree!! But now we cannot stay near the Giant Camphor tree any more,
as it's under conservation project (it's already 1000 years old!!!). The camphor tree is really very big!
There are many banana trees nearby, and I could see a big bunch of bananas here!!
Many bees and wasps were here also, I nearly got stinged by a big black wasp, luckily I escaped in time!

























看完大樟樹, 從社山路步回林錦公路. 再乘64K 巴士, 於"嘉道理農場" 站下車. 進入農場參觀,
入場費HK$10, 可從售票處領取免費的觀光巴士票, 可上觀音山. 不過今天只想看動物, 所以沒有拿車票.

After having a look @ the camphor tree, just walked back to Lam Kam Road for 64K bus again.
This time I got off @ Kadoorie Farm. The entrance fee is HK$10, and you can also get a FREE shuttle bus ticket from the ticket office.
The shuttle bus brings you to the top of Kwun Yam hill and other scenic spots along the hillside.
I just wanted to see the animals today, so I didn't get a bus ticket, will come again in the winter, it was too hot today.










































嘉道理農場內有露天茶座, 只供應素食(不過有些食物有蛋!!). 今天吃了雙花七彩燈籠椒意粉+有機冰凍菊花水, 非常美味!!

There's a cafe in the garden which ONLY offers vegetarian food (some with eggs!). See the menu!!!
I had a pasta with cauliflower, broccoli and sweet peppers, with a glass of iced chrysanthemum water, very delicious!


























先到豬舍看花豬! 天氣太熱, 牠們都睡著了.

First I went to the pig house to visit the pigs!! Too hot today (34C!!), all the pigs were sleeping.

Had a look @ the leopard cat (it was sleeping), and had a look @ the owl.

Had a walk inside the Wildlife Walkthrough~ this scary caiman was staring at me.























本來打算在猴子樂園看猴子, 但天氣太熱, 猴子們都在屋內睡覺!!! 在園內有溫室及蓮花池.

Wanted to see the monkey @ Monkey Haven. But as it was too hot today, all the monkeys were sleeping in their houses!!
Had a walk near the Greenhouses and there's a beautiful lotus pond nearby.
