即食五香丁丁撈麵, 但其實沒有肉, 亦沒有雞粉豬油.

今天會去看看能否找到營地或可以生火的地方, 那就可以吃這個撈麵了.

Instant spiced "pork cube" flavoured fried noodles, but NO meat, NO chicken / pork essence inside.

Just soy paste and spices to mock the pork flavour.

Today we're going to find a campsite or a spot where we can boil some water and eat this cup noodle as lunch.

到了馬料水碼頭, 渡輪已經差不多滿座, 今天很多人去塔門, 我們則是去荔枝莊村.

When we arrived Ma Liu Shui kaito pier, the ferry is already waiting for us!!!

Lots of visitors are going to Tap Mun (Grass Island) this morning, and the ferry is nearly Full!!!

We are going to Lai Chi Chong Village today, one stop before Tap Mun.

荔枝莊碼頭, 這裡是一條寧靜的小村落, 遊人不多, 不過以前有不少人來野營, 今日來看看營地是否仍然存在.

Lai Chi Chong Pier, also a Geopark.

It is a small village and not so many visitors come for hiking.

But there is a large piece of lawn near the pier, where many campers came in the past.

We come here today to see whether the camping area is still here or not.

Caritas-Jockey Club Siu Tong Camp, the only official campsite in Lai Chi Chong.

Reservation is a must, it's usually closed.

Ooops!!! Camping @ Lai Chi Chong Village is strictly prohibited now.

Villagers can call the police if anyone is camping on the lawn.

荔枝莊沙灘

Lai Chi Chong Beach.

小塘營關閉了, 應該沒有人.

Siu Tong Camp is closed.

Seems nobody is inside.

走去荔枝莊沙灘, 雖然不能野營, 但在此大休 + 野餐.

Now we are @ Lai Chi Chong Beach.

Although we cannot have a wild camp here, we can just sit down to have a rest and a wild picnic instead.

荔枝莊沙灘, 在很多年前其實是官方認可的荔枝莊營地一部份.

後來因為水源問題, 很多營友走到當時沒有居民的村落草地上紮營 (旁邊是溪澗有淡水), 所以官方營地便荒廢了, 最後索性被取消.

但這幾年村民又搬回來居住, 草地是村地的一部份, 所以最後是所有人都不能在荔枝莊露營, 除了去明愛小塘營.

Some info. from other campers about camping on Lai Chi Chong.

There was an official campsite, Lai Chi Chong Campsite near Lai Chi Chong Beach (and including the beach) decades ago.

But as there was not enough stream water available near the beach, nearly all the campers used the lawn near the pier as a camping spot, with a big stream just next to it (taps and water pipes are installed for the village use are welcomed by the campers).

Finally the official Lai Chi Chong Campsite is removed by the government.

The village used to be uninhabited decades ago, this is why campers came in the past for camping.

But many villagers moved back to the village about a decade ago and the campers' noise and trash making the villagers very unhappy, and now camping is strictly banned here (except going to Siu Tong Camp).
