Mating season has begun.

Baby grasshopper, as small as fingernail.

用舊營柱(Naturehike Mongar 2p) 及Forclaz MT900 天幕建立了半自立型的 A字帳篷 (要用 6 枝營釘把天幕拉出來).

非常透氣, 今日近30C 在內仍然很舒服.

Setting up a semi-freestanding A-frame tent this afternoon, with Naturehike Mongar 2 tent poles and Forclaz MT900 trekking gray tarp (Forclaz 2 Seasons Trek 900 Gray Tarp).

A very nice A-frame tent, feeling cozy under it, even under temperature 30C this afternoon.

Use 6 tent pegs in order to make the sitting area under the tarp as large as possible and have the best ventilation.

Hurray!!! Donny has got some matcha cakes!!

上山看風景

Go upstairs to have a look @ Shap Long.

開始下微雨, 下山去營地吃下午茶及看風景, 今天沒有帳篷, 吃完下午茶便回東涌.

A bit of light rain patches at noon, go back to the campsite and have a tea break.

There will be heavy rain in the evening, we haven't brought any tent, just have a tea break and we are going back to Tung Chung before the thunderstorm.

雨稍停, 在營地弄下午茶.

Luckily the rain stopped and we made a cup of tea with some biscuits @ the campsite.

下午茶後暴雨已經殺到, 急急收拾好便趕去貝澳巴士站

A pity that the thunderstorm came much earlier than we expected, we quickly packed up after a cup of tea and rushed to Pui O bus-stop, just before 17:00... bad luck..... can't spend more time with the campsite.

一般遊客都是前往東壩遊玩, 很少會去西壩.

今日來個西壩深度遊.

Usually tourists coming for High Island Reservoir will start their journey from East Dam, as it is near the minibus terminus. But today we are going to have a walk under the West Dam, where there is nearly no visitors coming (except those for Chong Hing Water Sports Centre)

Most minibuses are FULL when departing from the East Dam, this means that it is nearly impossible for you to get a minibus from West Dam!!!

You have to walk for 4-4.5 km from West Dam to the nearest bus-stop.

Enjoy your walk!

There are some camping facilities for official star-watching camps (registration required),  NOT open for walk-in visitors.

A footpath next to the Astropark, go up and you can see Nam Fung Wan (sea cove).
